Four Ways To Love Yourself Well At Home: You’re Extraordinary!



You heard the saying… no one is going to love you if you don’t love yourself first. Well, I am a strong believer in that.

I nurture myself and follow a self-care plan so I can freely love and nurture those around me. Especially because this is such a stressful and worrying time these days.

So to begin the journey of simply loving yourself can begin with beauty sleep, pampering, exercise, creativity, and/or hobbies and these things can be simply done at home. And there’s no need to go to a special spa to spend a lot of money to get these things done.

On beauty sleep…

1. Make sure the bedroom is nice and dark or wear an eye mask.

2. Your bed, pillow, sheets, and blankets should be comfortable, soft or firm (as you like it), and clean.

3. Hang some lavender over your bed.

4. Before falling to sleep read a positive book, or play some sleepy time music.

5. The temperature in the room must be what you feel most comfortable sleeping in.

6. Go to bed early so you won’t need an alarm clock to wake up in the morning.

On pampering yourself well…

1. Spend some time treating yourself nicely by saying loving things and words to yourself, and within yourself for at least a few minutes every day as needed.

2. Take a nice hot bubble bath as you sip on a glass of wine. Soak in the bath at the most, 15 minutes, using a sweet-smelling bubble bath as you lovingly wash your body with a luxury soap or gel, or a hot shower and your favorite shower gels, then dry and lotion down quickly while your pores are still open.

3. Deep condition your hair, then wash it out, towel dry and use a detangling comb and brush and let your hair air dry.

4. Give yourself that mani/Pedi session by soaking your feet in warm water and Epsom salt, and your fingernails in some sort of nail soaking agent, dry, trim nails, use something made to slough off the dead skin on the soles of the feet, trim cuticles on fingernails, shape your fingernails with an emery board, apply lotion to your feet and nails.

5. Polish your fingernails and toenails with clear or some pretty color nail polish you like.

6. Wash your face, then give yourself a steam facial, dry and apply a moisturizer.

7. Book a massage or use some sort of massage gadget to be used at home.

On exercise…

1. Play some music especially an upbeat song and dance till the end of it.

2. Exercise to a 20-minute exercise video.

3. Take a stroll.

4. Do some stretching exercises.

5. Make time to move and exercise a bit almost every day or every other day.

On being creative and/or finding a hobby…

1. Search the topic of hobbies to get ideas to see what kind of hobbies are available to choose from and pick one.

2. Pick one and try it out for a season and you can always switch around and try different ones until you find one that suits you best.

3. Research to find out what’s your inner creativity and go for it.

4. Make time to play by enjoying yourself with the kind of hobby you’ve chosen on a regular basis.













I like to call my self a happy soul, a daydreamer and have a heart of a gypsy. Love to use my imagination. And trying out new things. Life can be so wonderful and enjoyable when I am being positive and releasing.
