Our Lovely Mediterranean Dinner Date Night

Since spending more time at home we miss being able to go out every once in a while for Mediterranean-style foods. So I thought to make us some beef gyros and tzatziki sauce.

First, we purchased some precooked beef gyro strips and pita bread, and some Greek yogurt, and I shredded one cucumber to make the tzatziki sauce. Then chopped up the lettuce and tomatoes and sliced up a small red onion and then… we set the table to have a look of being at an eclectic Mediterranean dinner party by covering the table with a crisp white tablecloth, white linens and set out two bright pretty colorful placemats, dishes and drinking glasses along with a vase filled with sunflowers. Next, we set out a bowl filled with lemons, a jar of marinated olives, and a jar of pickled peppers.

I wore a cute colorful sundress and my husband wore khaki pants and a bohemian style shirt. The lights were dimmed as we held hands and so I laughed at his jokes as we tapped our feet to some Mediterranean nights music playing in the background as we ate and pretended to be at a bohemian bistro. It was an amazing evening, so different and so much fun. LOL!
