Lucky To Find A Blender With A Flour Mill Setting: Prepping

I have found what I been looking for! I been searching for an electric flour mill and had no good luck because they all seemed so very expensive. You know the cost is up there in the hundreds. I feel it makes no sense to have to shell out so much money for something I would use periodically. So for years I waited and watched, hoping the prices would come down on some of those mills. But so far it seems the prices are going even higher every year.

So one day I just happened on something amazing! The answer to my prayer to find a inexpensive but quality flour mill. And so it is called the “Ninja Chef” it’s the one that  has a flour mill setting and runs on 1500 watts. I was amazed that I was able to get it at around one-third of the price of all the expensive flour mills on the market. Keeping the extra money in my pocket for other preps.

The reason I prefer to grind our own flour is that it can be made as needed for baking, decreasing wastage since flour can go bad and get bugs in it. So now I can grind just enough to last for a month into a baggie into the freezer. Plus I like the idea of knowing these different flours, once ground up is at their freshest peek, free of additives and preservatives and that I could also mix the kinds of flours I want together at the same time while it’s being grounded.

And doing it this way assists with prepping by having the various whole grains to turn into flour in our food storage already like Spelt, Kamut, Teff, Millet, Amaranth, Rye, White and Red Wheat Berries. We buy them and store them in food grade buckets or in number 10 cans and in this form, they may last almost forever up until their ground because once ground the clock starts ticking. So our goal is to keep stocking up on grains and vacuum seal the unused portions as we go.

And so next thing we need to work on getting is a solar system setup. (Smile)
