EASY LUXURIOUS LUSH SOAPS

~~~~
Well my husband drove me to Michael’s craft store so I could get the ingredients to make some melt and pour soaps. So I have to say that the experience of making these soaps for yourself or as gifts is so easy and just pouring the melted soap into the molds feels so nice.
And so we made it back home and I got busy melting and pouring and moving around in the kitchen I couldn’t believe how easy it was and then how amazing the soap smelled while making them.
So I used some of the best amazing ingredients to make the soap exactly to fit my liking. After that experience I have decided that I am hooked and I will make melt and pour soaps forever. LOL!
As I look at the finished product in my bathrooms they remind me how my mother used to display cute little guest soaps in the bathrooms after they were cleaned up and they were placed on pretty porcelain dishes to decorate as they used to smell so fragrant and added to the plush and lushness of the bathrooms.
Also what I love about making the melt and pour is the many different types of soap bases such as goats milk, Shea butter, honey and oatmeal that are available to use. But this day I decided to make a lavender, honey, lemon and goats milk soaps. The molds just make the soaps look so luxurious and it feels so good on my hands when I wash with this soap and for when showering with these soaps feels so, so amazing.
My Own Simple Lavender Honey & Lemon Melt & Pour Soaps Recipe
I purchased the following ingredients at Michael’s craft store and some things from my kitchen and the essential oils I already had.
2 pound container of goats milk soap base
1 packet of fragrant lavender buds
1 bottle of lavender essential oils
1 bottle of lemon essential oils
1 bottle of honey
1 bottle of lavender soap coloring
soap molds (I used a silicone cup cake mold)
1 glass Pyrex measuring cup or double boiler pot
1 pack of soap mold stirrers or a wooden spoon
wax paper
1 cookie sheet
1 plastic cutting block
1 spray bottle of alcohol
plastic packaging for soap bars
Directions On How To Make Soaps:
1. put a piece of wax paper over the cookie sheet and place the soap molds on the sheet to fit and set it aside.
2. cut into small blocks enough of the goats milk soap base to fill the Pyrex measuring cup and put it into the microwave to melt the soap. Be sure to melt 30 second intervals and each time remove the cup and stir the soap cubes till they are all melted. It may take at least 1 minute and 30 seconds total. If you use a double boiler on the stove top then you can melt the soaps by constantly stirring until the soap cubes are melted.
3. add the essential oils at least 20 drops of each and be sure to smell it to see if you want to add more or less.
4. add a tablespoon of honey and stir then add a few drops of colorant to your liking a few drops at a time and stir with stirrer.
5. lastly add in a handful of lavender buds and stir.
6. You can put it back in the microwave if it has started to thicken to melt once more for 30 seconds and then stir.
7. next pour the liquid into the molds.
8. spray a small amount of alcohol over the top of the soaps so that it will dissolve the bubbles.
9. put the tray with soap mold into the refrigerator for 30 minutes so that it sets and gets hard.
10. check to make sure the soap is solid and hard and then pop them out of the molds and they are ready for use or wrapping up in pretty paper or fabric for later use or you can give them as gifts.
*be sure that everything you use to make these soaps are kept aside and only used for making soaps again. Don’t use them for cooking food once you use them for soap making. I purchased a pretty storage box to put all of my soap supplies.*
