~~~
My lovely niece is back home from her 4-day retreat. We talked for a while on the phone about her mini vacation. It sounded like she really had an amazing time.
The way she described it sounded so awesome. She said she stayed in the dorms they provided and she shared a room with another lady from Boston. She enjoyed the pool, the sauna, and all the other activities including listening to the various speakers on this retreat that inspired everyone to go back home and live better lives. The vegetarian food sounded amazing and she said everyone got a chance to meet the cook. It sounded like this retreat was life-changing for her.
I told her to be sure to book a spot for me because I’d love to come next time she goes.
Now about this spider…..
The other day as I was standing next to the washer and dryer machines in my home and noticed something on the floor so I got the broom and dustpan to sweep it up. But it was a spider. A creepy ugly spider.
Well before I could spray some pest spray on it, the doggone thing disappeared underneath the clothes dryer. So I sprayed some around the floor underneath the dryer hoping to put it out of its misery. (LOL!) But two days later I saw something on the floor next to the dryer again. Well, I was no fool! (LOL!) I figured it might have been a spider. Lo and behold it was. That “spray” did not send it to its final resting place! It came out and was sitting there not moving at all. I guess let me know it was still alive and kicking after all that “pest spray” I sprayed over there the other day. Heaven’s sake that thing should have been dead was my first thought and how that thing is still alive who knows. Well, I got out a can of the tough stuff this time. Raid!!!! I sprayed it once again. GOT CHA!!! (LOL!)
Well, I hope I got him this time. Imagine a spider with nine lives. No, I don’t want to think of a spider with nine lives. Gosh, I hate spiders and any creepy crawly thing. Bugs, spiders, and crawling things are not my cup of tea. (I guess that’s why I am always cleaning.) And where was my knight in shining armor to help me? Yes a man to get those bugs and things like that for me. He was not at home at the time. Aw Shucks!
Just reminds me of the Munsters. You know that old 60’s show. There were always cobwebs and spiders everywhere, especially on that old rickety staircase and underneath was that fire-breathing thing! That old ugly dragon called Spot. Eddie’s pet. Oh Geesh! Let me go.
