Being Lovely Means Being Thoughtful

I recently asked myself these questions.

Do you value other people’s time or no? Do I feel it’s alright to have them waiting for me?

Thank goodness I have begun to learn that part of being thoughtful is to have a healthy reverence for other people’s time. It’s rude to be late. So don’t be late. Consider perhaps being two hours early rather than more than five minutes late.

I didn’t always think this way and I don’t know why I didn’t feel it important to value other people’s time. I used to be the one who would be late and did not care, being full of excuses too.

It’s just not nice nor considerate being late. Some people think being late is stylish, but nothing could be so further from the truth. Thank goodness my views have changed and I’ve grown in this area.

So I would rather cancel my appointment with someone then to show up late. I like the saying do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

It’s better to be thoughtful of the next person always.
