The family was out enjoying a family picnic when catastrophe struck. I still cannot believe that baby Meera is gone from us. I am in shock that this has happened on Saath Nibhana Saathiya this week.
Meera disappeared for a moment and so Gopi (Devoleena Bhattacharjee) went in search for her and finally spotted her at a dangerous section in the park that had danger signs all around the area and ran towards her while Radha (Bhavini Purohit) was hiding back after she brought Meera to that dangerous section of the park in the first place. This horrible so-called sister to Gopi was hoping Meera would fall off the cliff and into the deep pond just below and drown.
You see Radha has made several failed attempts at killing this little baby girl to get revenge on Gopi and the Modi family and so this time her plan to murder Meera has succeeded.
Gopi did reach there in time but as she was walking away Radha threw a rock at Gopi and it caused her to slip and lose her grip of Meera. So Meera slipped from her arms and was plunged over the rail into the pond. Immediately Gopi screamed and panicked and Kokila (Rupal Patel) and Ahem (Mohammad Nazim) heard her and came running. What I could not understand is Ahem’s hesitation before he jumped into the pond to try to get Meera. Later the police showed up and the search party was started. They swam circling the pond and could not find Meera in the Pond.
So it looks as if the family has lost Meera forever and I am so so saddened by the turn of events of Saathiya this week. It is such a sad time for this family. I feel so bad for Gopi, Ahem and the entire Modi family. But what makes me angry about all of this is that I cannot believe how Radha could bring herself to hurting and endangering a small child. Hate is something else. Hate can make you do some of the most abominable things. But I always believed Radha was a little touched and deranged. She still blames Gopi for the murder of Umang who did not love her but was making a fool out of her anyway. To tell the truth I wish Kokila had never let her in their house in the first place because Ahem wanted her out a long time ago and if she had put her out of the house way back when then they wouldn’t be going thru all of this right now.
Now to add to all of Gopi’s pain of the loss of her child, Kokila is blaming Gopi for it all. I say now’s not the time for them to do any finger-pointing because they have all lost this time and it’s always sad when a child dies. It seems like whenever someone dies in a family then a lot of fighting and turning against each other goes on. I guess that’s a part of the pain and how people grieve.
I have to say that there is one thing I always love about watching Saath Nibhana Saathiya is getting to witness how close-knit the Modi family can be and it is so easy to see how the love between them is so great.
The great grandmother had to be brought back to the house and initially, she was confined to her bed with grief over the loss of Meera. I tell you that I don’t believe this family will ever totally recover from this unfortunate event and sometimes it is the loss of a child that can tear a family to shreds. But it is my hope that love, courage, and strength will be their portion and that their faith will help them to be stronger and bring them all through this period of loss and grief.
