Happy Birthday Ratan: Ek Veer Ki Ardaas

Ratan’s (Sneha Wagh) children were most certainly given to her by God. They have to be the most sweetest, adorable and thoughtful children.

Today was their moms birthday and so they the made sure to make her day memorable and special.  Those two stayed up all night making decorations and decorating the courtyard with a pretty birthday banner, blowing up balloons of many colors and hanging lots of paper garlands. Earlier that day they did some shopping for some interesting gifts too by using the money from their little piggy banks.

In the morning Ratan was surely surprised when she woke up before they did and seeing how hard they worked and saw that they were sprawled out fast asleep in the court yard. She hurried back into her bed and pretended to have been there the whole time so they could feel like they woke her first.

I tell you that I could not help but let happy tears flow from my eyes watching those two at work and laughing at them at the same time. So when the kids presented their beautiful gifts to Ratan it was so amazing to watch as these kids’ faces lit up with the excitement and pleasure of knowing they were making their mom feel happy and special. Also as Ranvi (Bhavesh Balchandani) presented her with the most beautiful vase with her name written on one side and their dad’s name Sampooran on the other it was at that moment that Ratan could not hold back her tears and she held the vase for a long moment then hugged and held Ranvi so with much happiness and affection. But I also felt bad for Veera (Harshita Ojha) who so desperately wanted her mother’s approval too but felt kind of left out when Ratan did not hug her along with Ranvi and would not read the letter she wrote to her right away. These kids even took it even further and surprised their mom by demanding that she stay home and rest and not work in the fields, nor in the kitchen or do any household chores today because they will take care of all the work themselves and that she was on a day’s vacation. Now isn’t that just so cute. I love these kids.
