We were in a class together making our individual murals from photos in old magazines. And when it was complete, we had to discuss what our murals meant to us. Well my husband turned to me and what he said brought me to tears. He said his mural expressed how he was looking forward to the day that he and I went off into the sunset to spend the rest of our lives together after he retired. He said he wanted to grow old and spend the rest of his life with me. Oh my goodness! I was at a loss for words. I had no idea that these thoughts were in his mind for me, you see my husband is not that good at expressing himself, but whenever he does and however he tries I am always amazed by the words he does choose to say. ~ME~

For the past few years of our lives he seems to really want to express how he feels a whole lot more to me then he has in the past and well I am liking this about him. Our relationship has been one of struggle and it has survived a whole lot of things so much so that I am amazed that we are still married and in love with each other. I am so grateful to God that he blessed me to have a man like my husband in my life; he is one of a kind.  ~ME~

I never really gave a lot of thought about what life would be like with out him, because of my commitment to him, since I made a promise to him, I have tried very much to stick to the vows I made. So when I do think about the possibility of living life without him it truly makes me feel so sad, because I love him for the beautiful person he has worked so hard to become. I know he really has a heart of gold.  I have also come to rely on him and he always bends over backwards to see that I have all the things I need and want more and more. ~ME~

“Be with me always. Take any form, drive me mad! Only do not leave me in this abyss where I can not find you. Oh God, it is unutterable. I can not live with out my life. I cannot live without my soul.”  –Wuthering Heights-

We spend more time with each other this past year then we ever have, well because of past work obligations and the busyness of life, things have sort of toned down and slowed a bit for us. But I am finding when I am with him I feel like my love for him is growing stronger with each passing day, other then the moments when I feel I need my space, that’s when I want to wish him away from me. But he tries so hard to please me and make me happy and I see the effort in him and so it makes me feel so good knowing this. ~ME~

“Doubt thou the stars are fire; Doubt that the sun doth move; Doubt truth to be a liar; But never doubt I love you.”  -Hamlet-

He has so many ways, like for one he’s kind of hard on things and so right now the windows on both cars he drives on the driver side is broken. I remember when we were first married I knew there would be a problem in that area because every picture on the wall would fall as he passed by. Most people wonder why even today I have hardly any pictures on the walls except a few nice pieces of art in our bedrooms and living room. I laugh to myself because I know they would all be on the floor at this moment if my husband was anywhere around them. Smile.

So I appreciate the friendship we have shared over the years and I like that he sometimes takes the time to understand who I am as a person.

Well the kitchen sink has just been repaired again because “someone I know” broke the hose. Ha, Ha! I know my husband is one of a kind and I always want to remember to appreciate that God has loaned him to me for just a little while, and only God knows how long that will be, so I make the best of these moments, cherish them and continue to love him with all of my heart. ~ME~

“You know what I am going to say. I love you. What other men may mean when they use that expression, I cannot tell; what I mean is, that I am under the influence of some tremendous attraction which I have resisted in vain, and which overmasters me. You could draw me to fire, you could draw me to water, you could draw me to the gallows, you could draw me to any death, you could draw me to anything I have most avoided, you could draw me to any exposure and disgrace. This and the confusion of my thoughts, so that I am fit for nothing, is what I mean by your being the ruin of me. But if you would return a favourable answer to my offer of myself in marriage, you could draw me to any good – every good – with equal force.” -Our Mutual Friend-

”You are the answer to every prayer I’ve offered. You are a song, a dream, a whisper, and I don’t know how I could have lived without you for as long as I have.” The Notebook-

“I sometimes have a queer feeling with regard to you – especially when you are near me, as now: it is as if I had a string somewhere under my left ribs, tightly and inextricably knotted to a similar string situated in the corresponding quarter of your little frame. And if that boisterous channel, and two hundred miles or so of land some broad between us, I am afraid that cord of communion will be snapt; and then I’ve a nervous notion I should take to bleeding inwardly. As for you, – you’d forget me.”Jane Eyre-

Grow old along with me
The best is yet to be
When our time has come
We will be as one
God bless our love
God bless our love

Grow old along with me
Two branches of one tree
Face the setting sun
When the day is done
God bless our love
God bless our love

Spending our lives together
Man and wife together
World without end
World without end

Grow old along with me
Whatever fate decrees
We will see it through
For our love is true
God bless our love
God bless our love, ~
