Living in the country is really very nice. Especially after leaving a busy city like New York. It is so quiet here. Peaceful and serene. At first I wondered about how I would adjust. But I am starting to really like it. I can sit outdoors and listen to nature sounds naturally. I used to try to capture the same effects by playing a CD. But, OMG! the real thing is way better. I can hear the rustling of the trees and feel the breeze at the same time. I can hear the birds and see them at the same time, oh such beautiful birds in many colors and witness them turning their heads and beak up toward the sky while they sang. Oh such a sight. The only thing I am finding I do not like is the pests. So many ants and flying insects. The mosquitoes are the worst of it all. I have been seeing some insects I never ever seen before. Some of which are so pretty. But I do not know the names of any of them.
I got to see a real bumble bee fly and such beautiful butterflies of every color. While they flew in bunches and in unison. I watch the dogs wander around unlike the dogs in New York being walked by their masters on the sidewalks and streets. These dogs are free to roam. And boy do they roam and lay up underneath a shaded tree. Talk about dog day afternoon.
Now the cats are just so extraordinary. It’s a pleasure to watch them too. They just glide along moving with ease and the kittens like to sun bathe having all fours in the air while they sleep. Watching all this is so wonderful. I am comparing this to being in the city all of my life. It is truly a blessing to get to experience all this. I enjoy sitting outdoors more and more. Either on the porch or on the lawn.
The other thing is the air smells so nice, it is much cleaner and I can smell all the trees as there are various kinds but so many all over the place along with the smell of the flowers. Its really nice living in the country here and I hope I get to enjoy this as long as possible.
